Visitor Information
The
basic unit of the Auxiliary is the Flotilla.
Our Flotilla 75 meets on the 2nd Wednesday
of each month at 7:30 PM at the Ruskin
Senior Center located at 901 6th Street SE,
Ruskin FL.
You
are welcome to attend any of our meetings.
We are a service organization founded on the
four cornerstones of the Auxiliary:
Member Services, Recreational Boating
Safety, Operation and Marine Safety, and
Fellowship. We invite you to learn more
about the Coast Guard Auxiliary and how to
become a member.
We are
probably best known for the education
programs we offer to the public through our
U.S. Coast Guard approved safe boating
programs and free vessel safety
examinations. Learn more about these
programs by clicking on the links to the
left.
Our
Flotilla supports USCG Station St.
Petersburg by operating safety patrols and
being an integral part of the Station and
Sector St. Petersburg Coast Guard Search and
Rescue Team. We also assist and augment
active Coast Guard personnel by standing
communications watches, assisting during
mobilization exercises and performing harbor
and security patrols.
We
volunteer our time and we furnish and
maintain our own equipment. We choose to
participate and represent the U.S. Coast
Guard - and have fun doing it.
We
aren't paid with money, but we are paid with
the thanks from boaters we have aided or
instructed at one of our programs.
